Saw the teaser on youtube. The expletives are shocking when seen on the screen. But when you put things in perspective, you understand them and are OK with them, even enjoy them. The guy seen there could be any average Telugu youth. That’s how we speak when among friends or outside in a group. And given that the guy is venting out his frustration at the goings on in the Telugu filmdom, they sound so natural and plausible.
Also saw what Ramya Reddy had to say about ‘confessions’. She cant write for nuts, she’s so smug about her opinions, she is so full of herself, she is completely unoriginal. Doesn’t she sound like the personification of Telugu cinema?
We are so unoriginal that we actually dubbed even Satyaraj’s ‘Kovai Brothers’ into Telugu!
Ours is a film industry filled with non-actor stars that are around only because they happen to be somebody’s son/brother/nephew etc. We have writers who are clearly over the hill and definitely over the top.
Our directors are so badly mired in a time warp that they still base their films on themes like ‘mother sentiment’ and ‘sister sentiment’.
And I’m not even talking about things like girls (and guys?) that get parts in films just because they are fair skinned and they sleep around, and the boors that rabidly flaunt their castes and lineages on screen.
The hypocrisy that pervades the industry was there for all to see when the façade came unstuck during the sham diamond jubilee celebrations recently.
And ‘Celebrations’? Celebrating what? The shit they are wallowing in?
Don’t pull any punches Anish. Go out and call it like you see it. It is shit and you are calling it shit. Those who are neck deep in it and are proud of being in the shit are not bound to like what you say. But we never cared about what they say like we never cared about pieces-of-turds of movies that they make!

i truely admire what you have done, but would it not have been good if, kamal, had said instead of, PRATI PRODUCTION OFFICE LO, "CHALLA PRODUCTION OFFICE LO", cause there are some people and production offices like amigos creations and sic productions, where these kind of lines are not used., who has slept with whom and who 'is screwing whom'.
moreover the pic you've selected lately does not really signify peace of mind, rather, it is more cluttered.
