The cinema moment in 3 Idiots is when Hari(Sharman) jumps of the window,the lamp shade SMASHES the window sill (having been caught in his foot moments earlier), CUT TO a TOP shot of him on the ground below and his mates running towards him,a sliver of a CRANE DOWN, cut to a CLOSE shot of his head beginning to bleed.....
"Jaane Nahin Denge Tujhe"(low octave) vocals started moments ago, SMASH CUT to a WIDE shot (rising Octave) of Rancho (Aamir) speeding on his scooter against the Rasthrapathi backdrop, CUT BACK to a widish mid shot of Rancho with his BLOODSTAINED (speaks so much!) t-shirt and the ambulance behind him, while he frantically waves to everyone to clear the road.....wow!
This is FINE ART, THE ARTIST IS HIRANI.THE ARTISTRY IS IN THE EDITING AND THE CONCEIVING/WRITING AND THE DIRECTING.
That is the moment in the film.There are moments which make a film what it is...for me this is what it is...AWESOME cinema moment,worth a watch a gizzilion times over...Thats why this film is a success for me!
